As a truck driver, you probably spend a large part of your days and nights behind the wheel. While you can’t make the miles go by any faster, there are some ways that you can customize your semi-truck to make your ride more enjoyable. Custom audio solutions, navigation systems, Bluetooth integration, and window tinting can make your big rig driving experience more comfortable and entertaining.

Custom Audio Systems: With so much time spent in your truck and out on the road, your entertainment system is probably one of the most important aspects of your vehicle. Music an entertainment is essential for making those long miles go by a little easier. Much of the same technology and innovations that are used for passenger vehicles are available for semi-trucks as well. Now you can enjoy high quality sound no matter where you may travel.

Navigation Systems: When you are traveling from city to city, it can be difficult to find the best route. Traffic issues may require that you leave your current route and find a less crowded alternative. With a professionally installed navigation system, you can be sure that you will find the quickest way to your destination. Time is money when you drive a semi and getting lost simply is not an option. A navigation system allows you to stay on track and prevents costly detours or time wasted trying to find gas stations, restaurants, or other places of interest along the way.

Bluetooth Integration: Operating a huge semi is a big responsibility. Taking your hands off of the road for even an instant can have catastrophic results. This is one reason that Bluetooth integration makes sense for truckers. Bluetooth allows you use voice commands to make and receive phone calls as well as to operate your audio and navigation systems.

Window Tinting: You know the feeling of driving down the highway with the sun blaring through the window. The bright sun will not only make you feel hot and uncomfortable, it can obscure your vision as well. Impaired vision from sun glare is responsible for numerous auto accidents each year. Window tint actually reduces glare and makes driving more comfortable. A high quality film with a high heat rejection rate will keep your interior cooler, even during the hottest days of summer.

No matter what kind of customization you want for your truck, be sure to find a qualified specialist who is highly experienced at working on semis. Not everyone has the knowledge or training to properly equip big rigs. Find a company in your area that offers high quality products with excellent customer service.

Your truck is your livelihood and if you are not on the road, chances are, you are not making money. Therefore, you will need to find a window tinting and auto customization shop that will work quickly and efficiently so that you can enjoy your new features without a lot of downtime.

DeDona Tint and Sound offers a wide selection of customized audio solutions, navigation systems, and window tint for all types of cars and vehicles, including semi trucks and RVs. Contact us today for more information or visit our shop at 5212 W. Market Street in Greensboro, NC. We are a short drive from Kernersville, High Point, Winston Salem, and Burlington.

Some areas of the world are blessed with beautiful weather all year, but for those of us here in North Carolina, spring is finally on its way back, and it’s time for the boats to hit the water!

marine audio system greensboro nc

Whether your vessel is a small ski boat or luxury yacht, a good audio system is a must-have on the water. From family outings to all out joyriding, a high quality custom marine audio system ensures that you and present company have a great time.

While audio setups for boats are similar in many ways to those of automobiles, there are some important difference because of the environment in which the vehicle is operated. The cabin of a car or truck is an enclosed space, which means it takes less power to deliver sound. In marine applications, however, you’ll need a bit more power behind your system to overcome the engine noise and ambient sounds of the outdoors. With this in mind, a powerful amplifier is a must.

The components of the marine sound system are also designed with obvious hazards in mind, after all water and electronics don’t mix very well! The three major concerns for any marine sound system are water, sun/UV exposure, and salt. A car stereo is isolated from outside weather conditions, but these systems, in most cases, won’t have an enclosed space to completely protect them from splashing lake or river water and the blazing sun.

All core components of the audio system are constructed to resist these conditions. The head unit, the heart of every audio system, is coated and sealed to prevent direct exposure to liquid water and moisture vapor. Likewise, speakers and amplifiers are designed specifically for installation in marine vehicles, meaning a sealed chassis to guard against moisture, and a corrosion-resistant construction to fight wear from water exposure. With this in mind, we know that an audio system needs to work well and keep up with today’s technology. Features such as USB connectivity and remote control operation are available for these systems, so you won’t have to compromise.

With a custom marine audio system from DeDona Tint & Sound, you’ll be all the more excited to get that boat back on the water. As the warmer months are fast approaching, now is the best time ever to consider a custom sound system for your boat. We’re known throughout the Triad for our professional customized car audio installations, and you can expect the same high quality equipment and professional service with our marine audio installations. Give us a call today at (336) 851-1300, or send us a message online!

Automobile GPS systems are a welcome supplement to the driving experience, providing drivers with up-to-date street maps, directions, local places of interest, shopping, fuel stations, hospitals and much more. Voice alerts and messages allow the driver to keep their eyes on the road and not on the screen. With large, full color displays, intuitive interfaces and advanced technology, these systems can make a road trip immeasurably simpler.

Many vehicles do not come with factory installed GPS systems, and the factory systems that may be available can be a substantially large investment. Aftermarket installed GPS systems offer a customizable alternative that is easier on the wallet and can be custom fit for your needs.

Factory built-in GPS systems have several disadvantages, primarily that road maps are often out of date, and you are forced to purchase them from a dealership, they cannot be downloaded via computer. Also, they are sometimes separate from the vehicle’s stereo system requiring the driver to manage more devices across the dash.

Custom aftermarket installed GPS systems offer much more versatility, both in terms of style and choice. With a wide variety of brands and models available, each with varying capabilities, the customer is in control of exactly which system they want. An integrated GPS unit may effectively replace your vehicle’s factory CD player, radio and any existing navigation system (if applicable). These GPS units allow for total integration of your GPS system and sound system in one unit, allowing you to enjoy its many functions without separate pieces of hardware. Some units are equipped with sizable LCD screens for larger display of information and some even include DVD playing ability so you can catch a movie at a rest stop. Depending on the model, these screens can sometimes be folded back into the unit when not in use, to prevent damage, save space and also to help conceal the system from car thieves.

These aftermarket systems are just as capable (if not more so) than factory systems, and usually cost much less to buy and install. For less than what you would have paid the manufacturer, you get a system that offers ease of use, audible/voice directions, updatable maps, and of course a significantly augmented driving experience.

Contact us today for more information on our available integrated GPS systems. We have been installing custom stereo systems and add-on GPS units in the Triad for over 15 years. Our professional installers will work with you to find a unit to match your budget that delivers the features you want. If you are considering having a GPS system installed in your vehicle, look no further than right here at DeDona Tint & Sound!

You may be asking yourself many questions when considering replacing your vehicle’s stock speakers with more powerful ones. The biggest of these questions is – Will I experience a noticeable difference with high quality aftermarket speaker systems? The short answer is a resounding ‘yes’. Let’s take a look at some of the differences between factory speakers and aftermarket replacements.

Factory car speakers are low-grade, made of cheap materials and normally are relatively poorly engineered. For the manufacturer, the standard stereo system and accompanying speakers are of generally low priority. What exactly does this mean? Basically these speakers are made of cheap paper cones with no high frequency drivers, and are at most acceptable to listen to. For those who appreciate rich sound, they just don’t cut it. Even the so-called “premium audio systems” many vehicles are equipped with still do not approach the level of quality found in a custom aftermarket system. Factory speakers deliver dull sound, especially at high volume, with low frequencies notes just droning away and the highs get buried.

On the other hand, aftermarket speakers deliver some substantial advantages for all music lovers, the most important of which is clear and crisp sound with more detail, mostly owing to the superior materials used in building them. Woofers will deliver powerful bass with a better punch. Aftermarket speakers, woofers and amps will generally last much longer than stock equipment, and you can certainly squeeze more sound out of them.

There are many quality brands to choose from when selecting components for your stereo system, however keep in mind that higher cost does not necessarily mean better sound quality. It is very important to select the right speakers to fit your needs. If you opt to not install an amplifier and power the speakers directly from the head unit, you’ll want speakers with a high SPL and efficiency rating because they do not require much power. If an amp is in play, choose more heavy-duty speakers that are designed to handle high-powered output.

In short, just replacing the factory speakers with higher quality aftermarket speakers will deliver a very noticeable increase in sound quality, crispness and clarity. For a more powerful system, the addition of amplifiers and subwoofers can enhance your listening experience even further, resulting in a premium system delivering excellent sound and power at all volumes and across both high and low frequencies, and everything in between.

If you’re not sure which equipment would be best for your sound system, don’t worry! The professional staff here at DeDona Tint & Sound will answer all of your questions with straightforward answers, and we will be happy to assist you in choosing the right components to fit the kind of sound system you are looking for. Call us today at (336) 851-1300, or send us a message through our website. For the best quality sound systems and service in North Carolina, visit DeDona Tint & Sound.

Some new vehicles come with a premium audio system these days, but often the performance of these systems is not what you would expect, and the sticker description can be deceiving. The majority of vehicles are rolled out of the factory with the standard tinny-sounding stereo system that delivers inferior bass, clarity and just barely does the job. Whether you are an audiophile or just someone who enjoys richer, crisper audio from your car stereo, you may want to consider the benefits of a custom audio system from DeDona Tint and Sound.

Despite what the stickers say, you will often be disappointed with the performance of your vehicle’s audio system. There is little or no customization, limited power, and generally substandard performance with a run-of-the-mill system. Here at DeDona Tint and Sound, we specialize in custom systems that are tailor made to meet both your expectations and budget, while delivering superior sound and personalization.
